Description

Capturing the timeless spirit of Fellini’s 1960s Rome, Dolce Italian brings la dolce vita to Philadelphia with handcrafted pastas, Neapolitan pizzas and signature Italian dishes. The terrazzo flooring and glass block and steel accents are localized nods to Philadelphia, while the art program is inspired by the Arte Povera movement in Italy, which includes hand-drawn pen-and-ink geometric abstractions on vintage ledgers and notebooks. We suggest the big-eyed tuna crudo, with seared fennel, orange and ginger vinaigrette; lobster mezzelune with asparagus, shrimp and sauce armoricaine; and dayboat scallops with speck, Mediterranean couscous, braised leeks, chanterelles, pistachio pesto and port reduction.
